The V.M. Maniyar Group headquartered in Surat, India has been in the sandalwood business for over 33 years. The Group was the first importer of Santalum spicatum (Australian sandalwood) from India in the year 2003 and has been regularly importing sandalwood from Australia for the past 21 years. In the past 6 years, the Group has imported over 3,000 metric tonnes of sandalwood from Australia, this includes both the spicatum and album (Indian sandalwood) species.

The V.M. Maniyar Group has a 120,000 square feet wood & oil processing factory and storage facility in Surat. The Group employs about 150 personnel for its sandalwood business.

Distillation capacity is 1,000 metric tonnes of sandalwood per annum

The Groups’ distillation capacity is 1,000 metric tonnes of sandalwood per annum. About 2,000 metric tonnes per annum of sandalwood is processed for other uses. There are 3 powder making machines with a capacity to process 6 metric tonnes per day.
